Shade Tree Planting |

Event Description: We will be working with Greening of Detroit to plant 30 shade trees at the park. After the planting is over, we'll spark up the barbecues and cook up some complementary hot dogs and hamburgers. |

Treats in Trunks |

Event Description: Friends of Fletcher Field, members of Shield of Faith, and community members are invited to bring their vehicles to the field w/ trunks decorated in Halloween or fall spirit (not too scary). The kids will vote on the best decorated trunk, and prizes will be given. Bring treats to pass to about 200 kids (we probably won’t get that many, but better to be safe). Turkey Bowl and Baskets |

Event Description: We will distribute Thanksgiving baskets to the needy of the neighborhood and then play our second annual Turkey Bowl touch football game at Fletcher Field. |

The Living Nativity |

Event Description: We’re planning a living nativity scene at the park, followed by a tree-light ceremony and other holiday activities at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. An email will be sent when details are firmed up on the Christmas events. |
